Quote of the Day

How many more gay people does God have to create before we ask ourselves whether or not God actually wants them around?  Minnesota State Representative Steve Simon

  1. I enjoyed the video, this a topic I'm pretty interested in digging around in. This lawmaker based his entire speech on the "science" that is showing more and more every day that sexual orientation is innate. To what science is he referring? He did a lot of concluding without giving research or any evidence at all to work with. I genuinely would like to see the science.

  2. CarlyJo,

About ten years ago, my son was in a high school production of The Laramie Project which stirred up a great deal of controversy in my community. That was the last time I read anything about the latest thinking on the subject in the field of psychiatry. I'm not sure what research has been done lately.

  3. The science is that people today want to have sex without babies, and since birth control isn't 100%, some sickos turn to homosexuality to achieve this end. Nobody's born that way, and there aint no science (beyond what I just mentioned) to explain it. Its how it worked in ancient Greece too. Married men who had 1 or 2 kids by their woman female wife would then go and have all their recreational sex with male lovers in order to avoid making any more babies. It was and is nothing more than a disgusting form of birth control.

  4. sure beowulf,

young adolescents turn to suicide rather than risk being ostracized by their families for a freely made choice of birth control, a choice they are fully committed to years before they actually start having sex.

your comment betrays a profound insulation from reality.
